Nyingchi South East Tibet 7Days Tour

Day 1: Lhasa arrival.
Pick up and transfer to your hotel., Acclimatize the altitute 

Day 2: Lhasa sightseeing.
Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery.

Day 3: Lhasa sightseeing
Potala Palace, Norbu Lingka (Summer Palace).

Day 4: Lhasa -Bayi [465KM 3650m]
Kading scenic valley, Lamaling monastery.

Day 5: Bayi-Lulang -Bayi
Lulang forest and scenis spot, Giant cypress tree.

Day 6:Bayi-Lhasa
Basum tso lake 

Day 07: Tibet departure 

Day 1: Lhasa arrival [3650m]
Upon arrival in Lhasa you will be welcomed by your English-speaking Tibetan Guide and Tibetan Driver who will bring you to your hotel. Acclimatization to high altitude: please, drink lots of water and take plenty of rest in order to minimize altitude sickness.  

Overnight at House of Shambhala or Shambhala palace hotel which is a located center of Lhasa city and Tibetan style hotel. 

Day 2: Lhasa sightseeing
We begin visiting Jokhang Temple, the most sacred monastery in Tibet. It was founded in the 7th century by the first great Buddhist king Songtsen Gampo. Later you can explore the surrounding Barkhor old quarter and spend time walking around Jokhang Temple following pilgrims from all over the Tibetan plateau. In the afternoon we go to Sera Monastery, one of three great universities of Gelugpa Sect. We will attend the debating session of the monks.

Day 3: Lhasa sightseeing
Today we visit the beautiful Potala and Norbulingka Palaces. Potala winter palace was built in the 17th century by the fifth Dalai Lama. Provides amazing views of the entire city and houses the private quarters of the Dalai Lama, numerous grand state rooms and chapels. Norbulingka Palace is the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, built in the 18th century by the seventh Dalai Lama. It’s tradition to do picnic in its beatiful garden and perform opera dances during Shoton Festival (August-September).

Day 4: Lhasa -Bayi [465KM 3650m]
Drive from Lhasa to Nyinchi city by taking  New highway to cross Mila Pass tunnels (5100m),then gradually landscape looks different from that we saw in around the Lhasa and you can  enjoy the scenery along the Niyang River then we can visit Kading valley to see beautiful landscape of mountains and waterfall then drive to Nyingchi City, after lunch we can short drive 30km to visit Lama ling monastery which is monastery of Nyimapa sect of Tibetan Buddhism with very unique architecture of octagonal Main temple.

Day 5:– Bayi-Lulang -Bayi
Today, we will drive to Sekyim la Pass (4720m) and enjoy the great Mt. Namjia Bawa (7,756m) in the distance. Then, continue to visit the bushy Lunang Forest with an elevation of 3700m, and it is a typical highland meadow strip, and both sides of Castle Peak from low to high from the dense bushes, spruce trees and pine. The distant clouds, the snow-capped mountains, the endless pines and the quiet pastoral displayed a beautiful landscape. Drive back to Bayi in the late afternoon.,on way back you can visit the Bayi Giant Cypresses park.

Day 6:Bayi-Lhasa
After breakfast, drive from Bayi to Basumtso Lake, cross over Mila Pass (5100m), enjoy the scenery along the Niyang River. Afternoon visit Basum-Tso lake, which is a stunning highland lake lying 90 kilometers west of Kongpo Gymdo County. This holy lake is beautified by its surrounding landscapes from green & forested mountains to snow capped peaks, and is connected to the semi-mythical ruler of the Kham region and Guru Rinpoche then drive back to lhasa by taking new highway.

Day 7:Tibet departure
Enjoy your last hours in Tibet exploring Lhasa by your own until your guide and driver meet you at the hotel to transfer you to the airport.

  3. Experienced Tibetan guide in Tibet (English language).
  4. Transportation a for the whole trip.
  5. Vehicle fuel, tools and vehicle repairs (if necessary).
  6. Driver and guide’s food accommodation.
  7. Accommodation in room basis. We will arrange for you as we mentioned the itinerary with breakfasts.

  2. Plane or train tickets in or out of Tibet.
  3. Meals and drinks except for breakfast. our guide who will recommend for you local Tibet restaurant food cost is about 50-100Yuan per person for each time.
  4. Personal expenses
  5. Extra expenses incurred due to unexpected natural events (delays, road washouts, snowfall…)
  6. Tips to guides and driver, but this totally depend on you.

Due to the current regulation,you need a special permit to visit Tibet Autonomous Region. The only thing you need to worry about is sending us clear scan of your travel document 25-30 days in advance. We will do the rest.

Application process depend on your entry point: From mainland China. 

We need clear scan of password and visa (L), additional documents are required. Please, contact us for further information. If you are entering Tibet by plane from the mainland China, you will need the original permit. We will sent it to any address in China that you wish, be it your hotel or a friend’s house. If you are arriving by train, you will only need a photocopy of the permit.
